Our College

S.K.P Engineering College sponsored by Sri. S.Kuppusamy Memorial Educational Trust, Tiruvannamalai was started in the year 1999 to impart technical education at the highest level to the students who desire to excel in their field.

As a dream project of our chairman Sri. K.Karunanithi, who is also an engineer, our college has become one of the best in the field of Technical education within a short span of time.

An innovative person by the nature, our chairman has introduced many modern technologies in the institution to have an effective and efficient management system.

S.K.P. Engineering College is the first Engineering College in our country to implement smart card system for all the students and staff members.

An efficient use of college website, paperless administration through intranet, communication through e-mail between the students and staff, the centralized data base to retrieve any information about the students instantly are some of the highlights of our college.

With our chairman’s enthusiastic involvement, our college has already obtained the ISO 9001-2000 certification by establishing a total quality management system in this institution.

Also we have obtained NBA Accreditation for the Computer science engineering and Electronics and communication Engineering branches for three years.

Consistence with the high standard of excellence aimed by the institution, the faculty comprises a team of carefully selected and highly qualified persons who have a proven record of meritorious accomplishment to their credit. We have doctorates specialized in various disciplines, who have extensive industrial and teaching experience. The staff strength is according to the norms prescribed by the AICTE.

As senior most academicians in the state, their vast experience and their ability to adopt the new technology helped us to improve a lot in every department. Prof. A.M. Srinivasan is the former director of Anna university and Dr. P.S. Natarajan is the professor Emeritus, former principle of Govt. Engineering. college. Their students are there all around the world in very high positions.
