Research and Development Cell:
The Research Centre is the elated vision the Chairman to make the faculty indulge in high end research in the fields of importance and social relevance for the prosperity of India. It is a multi-disciplinary scientific research centre. Its laboratories are devoted to solving problems in cutting edge research topics of promise to future applications.

Centre for Nano-electronics (2 crore)
We have well established centre for Nano-electronics at a cost of 2 crores, for active research in the field of VLSI and Nano Technology. The centre has TMA-Tcad bundle and synopsis front and back end tools complete set.  Using these tools, complete characterization of both device level and circuit level simulations can be carried out. The PCB design and manufacturing unit available facilitates research and social welfare projects.

Centre for Virtual and Advanced Design Study
Center for Excellence in Virtual and Advanced Design in the Department of Mechanical Engineering is established at a cost of 1.5 crores. This centre provides an important enabling mechanism for achieving our vision of becoming “the premiere mechanical engineering educator of the country”. Center for Virtual and Advanced Design Study is equipped with CATIA, DELMIA, MSC Nastran, Hyper works, KISSSOFT etc.  The centre has already signed MOUs with various companies in Bangalore in order to carryout projects on solving the problems that are faced at assembly automation and problems faced in Production of components.

HP research centre
We are going to establish HP research center at a cost of Rs. 25 lakhs with a vision to research in various domains .

MOU with New Jersey Institute of Technology
The college is going to sign an MOU with New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) for collaborative research. Indo-US collaborative research project is to be signed between SKPEC, Jadhavpur University and NJIT.

Social welfare projects
The department has initiated social welfare projects such as LED lights, Micro wind mills, automatic switching systems, smart grid using wifi. These projects are useful in saving power energy which is the current crisis in the world.
